Trait theory

Traits are aspects of personality that are relatively stable over time. Traits differ across individuals. Traits in a person, could be measured as the habitual pattern of behaviour, thought and emotion.1

Behaviour is the range of actions and mannerisms made by individuals in an environment.2

Thought refers to conscious cognitive processes that happens independent of sensory stimulation.3 These could be in the form of reasoning, judgement, problem solving. They could  form an idea, memory or imagination.

Emotions are metal states brought on by neuro-physiological changes - associated with thoughts, behavioural responses and a degree of pleasure or displeasure.4 Basic emotions can be Happy, Excited, Sad, Angry, Tender or Scared.
